Bidding on Pokémon cards

Check the listing, set your maximum bid, consider shipping costs and pay on time: how to bid on BDPokéCards.

An auction often allows you to buy a card at a good price. To avoid paying too much, prepare your bid.

Check the listing

  • Look at the front and back photos. The stated condition should match what you see.
  • Read the description. If in doubt, ask the seller a question from the listing.
  • Check the seller's profile: number of sales and buyer reviews.

Set your maximum price

Before bidding, decide on the maximum amount you are willing to pay. Base your decision on the card's value and its recent sale prices, not forgetting the shipping costs.

On BDPokéCards, enter this maximum amount. The site will then bid for you, in increments, only when another member bids. You pay the necessary price to stay in the lead, no more.

The final minutes

A bid placed in the final minutes extends the auction's end. This gives everyone time to respond. Therefore, there is no need to wait until the last second.

The commitment

A bid is binding: the winner buys the card at the final price. If the winner does not pay, the card may be offered to the next highest bidder (second chance), and an unpaid bid may restrict the account.

Payment

The winner pays from their order within the specified time frame (currently 48 hours). The seller then ships the card.

All ongoing auctions are on the auctions page, sorted from the closest to ending to the furthest.
