Packing and sending a Pokémon card via Swiss Post

Sleeve, toploader, cardboard and envelope, then the right shipping method: how to send a Pokémon card without damaging it.

Good packaging prevents bent corners and scratched cards. The shipping method then depends on the value of the card.

Packing the card

Bubble envelope

  1. Put the card in a sleeve.
  2. Slide it into a toploader. Seal the opening with a piece of tape, without sticking it to the card.
  3. Place the toploader between two rigid pieces of cardboard, slightly larger, attached together.
  4. Put everything in a bubble or rigid envelope, the right size so nothing moves.

For multiple cards, protect each card in the same way, or use a small box with padding.

Choosing the shipping method

Swiss Post

Swiss Post offers several options:

  • B Mail: the cheapest, for low-value cards;
  • A Mail: faster;
  • A+: with a tracking number;
  • Registered: with tracking and signature upon receipt, for valuable cards;
  • PostPac: for parcels, such as a display.

For France, choose international shipping, with tracking as soon as the card is valuable.
