Selling your Pokémon card collection

Sort your cards, estimate those that have value, then sell individually, in lots, at auction or through buyback.

A sorted collection sells better and faster. Here are the steps.

1. Sort

Separate:

  • valuable cards: rare, holographic, ex cards, rare illustrations, vintage cards;
  • common cards: common and uncommon;
  • sealed products, to be kept closed.

The guides on rarities and card conditions help with this sorting.

2. Estimate

For each valuable card, check its value and the price of its recent sales. The method is detailed in the guide on estimating the value of your cards.

3. Choose how to sell

  • Individually: for valuable cards. This is the most profitable option.
  • In bulk: for common cards, grouped by set or type. See the card lot section.
  • At auction: for a rare or hard-to-estimate card. Buyers set the price by bidding.
  • Buyback: to sell everything at once, offer your cards to BDPokéCards buyback. It's faster, but you earn less than selling individually.

4. Prepare the listings

Take clear photos, front and back. Honestly indicate the condition and write a clear description. Buyers purchase faster, and disputes are rarer.

On BDPokéCards, listing is free, and you only pay 5% when the card is sold: how to sell your cards.
