Auction Terms and Conditions

version 2.0 · in force since 01.10.2026

These terms supplement the general marketplace terms for auctions.

1. Procedure

The seller sets a starting price, a duration of 1, 3, 5, 7, or 10 days, and the bid increment: 0.10 CHF, 1 CHF, or 5 CHF. Each new bid must exceed the current price by at least this increment.

2. Automatic Bidding

Each member indicates the maximum amount they are willing to pay. The platform bids on their behalf, by the necessary increment to stay ahead, up to this maximum. The maximum remains secret: neither the seller nor other members can see it. In the event of a tie, the bid recorded first wins.

3. Conditions for Bidding

To bid, the member must register a payment card verified by Stripe and a delivery address in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, or France, and accept these terms. The card attests to the seriousness of the bids: it is never automatically charged.

A commitment cap limits the total of leading bids and unpaid purchases: 200 CHF for a new account, then more after successful purchases. The team may adjust this cap.

4. A Bid is Binding

Each bid is a firm and irrevocable commitment to purchase the item at the achieved price if the auction is won. A bid cannot be withdrawn.

5. Reserve Price

The seller may set a secret reserve price. The listing only indicates if it is met. If it is not met at the end of the auction, the item is not sold and no one is committed.

6. Immediate Purchase

The seller may offer an immediate purchase price. It remains available as long as the current auction price is lower. The immediate purchase is a firm purchase that ends the auction immediately; the buyer then pays from the order, like a winner.

7. Auction End Extension

A bid received in the last 2 minutes extends the auction end, so everyone can still respond. Members following the listing are notified shortly before the end.

8. Auction End and Payment

The highest bid wins the auction, at the achieved price, if any reserve price is met. The sale is then concluded and the winner is notified.

The winner pays the achieved price and the shipping costs of the chosen delivery method from the order, within 48 hours: online on the Stripe page or, if the seller accepts them, by bank transfer or TWINT directly to the seller, or in cash upon delivery. A reminder is sent after 24 hours. The seller is notified as soon as the payment is received.

9. Unpaid Auctions

A won auction not paid within the deadline is cancelled. Over 12 months:

  • 1st unpaid auction: warning and reduced commitment cap;
  • 2nd unpaid auction: bidding suspended for 30 days;
  • 3rd unpaid auction: exclusion from the marketplace.

10. Second Chance

If the winner does not pay, the seller may offer the item to the second bidder, at the maximum amount they had offered. The second bidder has 48 hours to accept or refuse, with no penalty for refusal. If they accept, they are committed like a winner and pay from the order within 48 hours.

11. Seller Obligations

  • An auction that has received a bid can no longer be withdrawn by the seller. Only the team can cancel it, for example in the case of a manifest error.
  • The seller is obliged to sell to the winner, at the achieved price.
  • The seller is prohibited from bidding on their own listings, directly, with another account, or through a close associate. Fake bids result in exclusion.

12. Technical Incident

If a technical malfunction disrupts the course of an auction, the team may extend or cancel it. No sale is then concluded based on the cancelled auction.
