Policy Against Counterfeits

version 1.0 · in force since 26.09.2026

Trust is at the heart of the marketplace. Only original Pokémon cards, officially released, can be sold here.

1. Prohibited Items

  • counterfeits and reproductions, including "proxies";
  • customised cards ("custom"), printed fan art, and unofficial cards;
  • cards modified without disclosure (repainted, recut, repressed, or chemically cleaned);
  • falsified, opened, or resealed grading cases;
  • stolen cards or those not owned by the seller.

In case of doubt about a card's authenticity, the seller should refrain from listing it for sale.

2. Graded Cards

The certificate number indicated in the listing must match the photographed case. The buyer can verify it on the grading company's website.

3. Reporting a Listing

Each listing can be reported (counterfeit, wrong card, misleading photos, prohibited item). As soon as 3 different members report the same listing for counterfeiting, it is hidden until reviewed by the team. The team may request additional photos or a video from the seller. Abusive reports are sanctioned.

4. If You Receive a Counterfeit

Before confirming receipt, report a problem with the reason "Counterfeit" and attach photos. Then follow the team's instructions regarding the card (return or keep as evidence). The buyer is fully refunded, including shipping costs, and return shipping costs are borne by the seller. The team may seek an expert's opinion.

5. Sanctions

A seller offering a counterfeit risks having their listings removed, buyers refunded, immediate account suspension, and, in case of recurrence or bad faith, permanent exclusion. Selling counterfeits is an offence: BDPokéCards reserves the right to report it to the authorities.

6. Limitations

BDPokéCards does not systematically authenticate cards sold by members. The seller is responsible for the authenticity of the cards they list for sale.
